Raw Kale Chips

Raw kale chips are not only a delicious snack, but also our absolute favorite way to enjoy raw kale. Especially in the winter season, this vitamin and mineral-rich superstar comes to our table and becomes a vitalizing enrichment.

Let’s dive into making these crispy kale chips and discover a delicious way to enjoy the nutritional benefits of this winter vegetable.

Kale is one of the foods richest in vitamins and minerals. It is, so to speak, a regional superfood. Above all, the proportion of vitamin C is considerable. You may not know that raw kale is actually one of the foods richest in vitamin C. Another plus is the high chlorophyll content and its mineral and protein content.

Kale chips can be prepared in a wide variety of flavors.

Here is our favorite!


RAW KALE CHIPS


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 handful of kale
  • 3 tablespoons almond butter or 50g cashews
  • ½ cup hemp seeds
  • 2 dates
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • 1 heaping teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

  • Soak the dates in 100ml of water for at least 2 hours.
  • Remove the stems from the kale and tear into small pieces.
  • Blend all ingredients, including date soaking water, in a small blender until smooth, pour over kale and massage in thoroughly with your hands.
  • Spread out on shelves of a dehydrator and dry for approx. 6-8 hours. Chips should be really crispy.
