Whether for work, school, after a workout, or just in between, our Oat Energy Balls are the perfect solution for anyone looking for a quick, delicious, and healthy snack. They are not only easy to prepare but also packed with valuable nutrients that provide the necessary energy boost to get through energy lows.

These little power packs combine the versatility of oats with the protein richness of almonds and hemp seeds. The sweet taste of maple syrup and apple, refined with a hint of cinnamon, makes them an aromatic snack.

OAT ENERGY BALLS


INGREDIENTS

  • 120g rolled oats (ideally activated)
  • 100g almonds
  • 20g hulled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 apple, pureed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or date syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt

PREPARATION

  1. Grind 50 g of almonds into flour using a blender, and finely chop the remaining 50 g in a food processor with an S-blade.
  2. Now, combine all ingredients in the food processor and blend into a homogeneous mixture. Add a little water if needed.
  3. Shape the mixture into balls by hand and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Facts about the Ingredients of our oat energy balls

Oats: Oats are rich in minerals, B vitamins, and an excellent source of complex carbohydrates and fiber, especially beta-glucan. This soluble fiber helps regulate blood sugar, lowers cholesterol, and boosts the immune system.

Almonds and Hemp Seeds: These ingredients add plant-based protein and healthy fats. Almonds also provide vitamin E and magnesium, while hemp seeds are a good source of a balanced ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids.

Maple Syrup: Compared to refined sugar, maple syrup offers some antioxidants and minerals like zinc and manganese.

Storage Tips

Store the oat energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they will last for up to two weeks. For longer storage, they can also be frozen – so you’ll always have a healthy snack ready.
