Energy Balls

Energy balls are an ideal source of energy for in between meals and are very easy to prepare. It’s best to always have a few in the fridge for any energy low.

Below we present 3 quick variations of energy balls.

COCONUT RAISIN

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup g raisins
  • 2 cups coconut flakes

PREPARATION

  1. Blend the raisins and 3/4 cup coconut flakes in a food processor until the mixture forms lumps – not longer, otherwise the oil will escape.
  2. Form balls.
  3. Grind remaining coconut flakes into flour and roll the balls in it.

COCOA WALNUT

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 8 dates
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 3 tablespoons raw quality cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup cashews

PREPARATION

  1. Grind walnuts to coarse powder in the food processor.
  2. Add raisins and dates and mix well again.
  3. Stir in the cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more water.
  4. Form balls.
  5. Grind cashews to flour and roll the balls in it.

Cashews are just one option, of course you can also use other nuts here.

Flavor variation: instead of water, add 1 tablespoon each of orange juice and coconut oil.

HONEY SESAME

INREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey

PREPARATION

  1. Finely grind 3/4 of the sesame seeds.
  2. Add honey and mix again briefly.
  3. Knead with your hands, shape into balls and roll in the remaining sesame seeds.
